
Amy Kaplan, Ph.D.
Dr. Amy Kaplan is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Georgia. She received her doctorate from Long Island University in 1995. Her therapy practice includes individual counseling with children, adolescents and adults , as well as families and couples . She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of problems related to stress, anxiety, panic, depression, adjustment issues, relationship problems and aging concerns. Her approach to therapy is goal-oriented and symptom-focused . She works with clients to help them target goals, learn new and more effective coping skills as well as implement strategies to better manage their challenges. Dr. Kaplan views psychotherapy as a collaborative and interactive effort between herself and those she sees in treatment. She is dedicated to establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship and provides a safe atmosphere for her clients. She encourages clients to discover new insights about themselves, improve their self-esteem and increase their ability to communicate more effectively. Dr. Kaplan believes that people have a great capacity for growth and positive change.
